This curriculum framework is inspired by the story of Kaiwhare, the taniwha who carried Hape to his people. Each curriculum element, represented by a harakeke strand, is woven together in the shape of a whai (stingray) and symbolises the school's hope that the strength of Kaiwhare will carry and help navigate their ākonga through their learning journey.

 

The design was also adapted to work as an interactive feature on the school website, making it easy for whānau to explore the framework in more detail.
